SMITH EQUITIES CORPORATION (SEC) forms Mortgage Brokerage Division.
Smith Equities Corporation (SEC), which specializes in the sale of apartment
complexes throughout the state of Florida, has formed a mortgage brokerage
division. Paul M. Guyet of Longwood, Florida is esponsible for the mortgage
activities. " With interest rates as low as they currently
are and the increases in prices during the past few years we wanted
to be in a position to provide our customers with a full line of financial
services, not just the option of selling their properties"
said Robert E. Smith, CCIM, president of SEC, when he announced the
formation of this new department earlier this year. Both buyers and
commercial sales brokers can take advantage of this mortgage brokerage
operation and SEC's very extensive apartment data base since this division
will be separate from the commercial real estate sales operations.

twenty-five years of commercial real estate experience to SEC. His diligence
and ability to keep negotiations focused on his customer's needs have
enabled him to personally assist property owners in selling or financing

of mortgage backed securities as a viable form of funding for the commercial
mortgage market there is an abundance of capital available for real
estate investments." said Mr. Guyet. He also states "This
new and steady flow of cash has forced lenders to become very competitive
